Iola Vintage Military & Gun Show with Vintage Tractors & Equipment ceases operations after 25 years
Iola Vintage Military & Gun Show with Vintage Tractors & Equipment Team -For the last 25 years the Iola Vintage Military & Gun Show with Vintage Tractors & Equipment has been an annual event in Iola, Wisconsin. Attracting vintage military vehicle owners, vendors, collectors and more, the show has been a unique attraction to the hobbyist niche.
“Iola has been one of the unique shows that featured a variety of happening, including also a gun show, vehicle rides and live reenactments,” stated PR Director Joe Opperman, “ironically, that eclectic mix has become our most difficult challenge.” In an ever-changing world, finding insurance for such a diverse event proved to be not only difficult, but in fact impractical for the show.
Last week, the staff and board of directors made the difficult decision to discontinue the Military Show at the Iola Car Show Grounds. These changes will have no effect on the Iola Car Show, which is gearing up for its 45th annual show July 6-8.
The team, board and volunteers have greatly appreciated the support, patronage and participation of this event over the last 25 years. We’ve had a great time, made friends and learned a lot in the process.
It’s not all bad news, however, as the military show will continue on as the Central Wisconsin Military Show, under sponsorship from Alfa Heaven, and be held on the Motorama Auto Museum Events Grounds in Aniwa, WI. The new show will be held August 11th-13th as planned.

Mark your calendar. A major event moves to the Motorama Auto Museum. 8.11-13 2017 Central Wisconsin Military Show. We are pleased to announce that after 25 years as the Iola Military Show the midwest's premiere military vehicle show and swap meet has moved to it's new home at the Motorama Auto Museum Events Grounds. The event is now known as the Central Wisconsin Military Show. We are continuing the core of the Iola show, vehicle show and swap meet. In addition we are adding show vehicle trophies and special awards, pin up girl contest with cash prizes, and parties Fri and Sat night with live music. There will also be a wide variety of food venders and on site camping for participants. Please 'like' and 'follow' Motorama Auto Museum on facebook (www.facebook.com/Motorama.Auto.Museum) to be updated as things progress. We are hoping to send out registration forms to last year's participants before the end of April. Not only does the show live on but we are looking forward to a bigger and brighter future for the event!
