Good News! Governor Butch Otter signed into law legislation (H.B. 506) that allows a vehicle built for the United States armed forces to be registered and operated on public highways in Idaho, even if such vehicle does not meet federal motor vehicle safety standards. Currently, many military surplus vehicles were not designed to meet these standards and cannot be legally registered in the state.

Special thanks to those who supported this bill.
