If you love military vehicles The Tank Museum’s annual TANKFEST event must surely be at the top of your bucket list.
That’s because TANKFEST, June 29-July 1, 2018, presented by World of Tanks and taking place at The Tank Museum (UK), features the world’s biggest and best display of historic moving armor.
Plus, with the British Pound tanking against the Dollar in recent months there has never been a better time to jump on a plane and head across the pond to see one of the world’s finest military Museums.
With an expansive collection of over 300 tanks that includes the world’s first tank, the world’s oldest Sherman and a unique Tiger Tank Collection, The Tank Museum is increasingly on the itinerary for US visitors having provided its tanks and expertise for the 2014 movie Fury.
TANKFEST is without doubt the best time to visit, as 20,000 visitors gather to see an array of historic tanks in action alongside living history encampments and displays by the British Army.
This year visitors will be treated to the sight of the massive Soviet IS-3 from the end of World War Two and the comparably tiny French FT-17 of the First World War in action.
As well as standard and multiple day tickets, there are a limited number of hospitality tickets available – such as the Museum’s exclusive Directors enclosure where visitors will be treated to the Best of British hospitality for just $275.
