Peter DeBella had been interested in military vehicles since he was a teenager when he restored the first of many military vehicles: A Willys MB Jeep. As a young adult, he became with other historic military vehicle collectors and joined the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, later even helping to organize a local chapter.
With twenty-five years of knowledge of vehicles and parts suppliers under my belt, Peter decided to turn his hobby into a business in 1997. From that point, Peter DeBella Jeep Parts has grown to offer retail and wholesale parts NOS and high quality Reproparts, specializing in parts for MB, GPW, M38, M38A1, CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B, and CJ5 Jeeps.
As both a collector and a dealer, Peter has first-hand knowledge that enables him to understand when his customers call with problems and challenges of a restoration. While he has restored, driven, or sold countless historic military vehicles, he still maintains a small, personal fleet that includes a 1942 Willys MB, 1942 GPW, 1971 M151A2, and a 1945 GPW. So, if you happen to call with a restoration question, you will get your answers from a a guy who knows the difference between an “F-bolt” and a shift knob! This is one of the strengths of Peter DeBella Jeep Parts: It is a parts business run by a guy who loves historic military vehicles. While he maintains a full show schedule, he still enjoys displaying vehicles and participating at event at the Annual Aberdeen Rally.
Peter DeBella Jeep Parts stocks nearly every part for the models the company represent. Peter takes great pride in offering quality parts and doesn’t hesitate to find a new supplier if a particular part proves to be of poor quality. He is part of the hobby—he cares about each restoration.
Peter believes in personal service to each of his customers. In fact, should you find yourself in the Riverhead, NY, area, he invites you to visit his shop—but call ahead of time to make arrangements. It’s usually very hectic!Peter added, “If you would like to plan a trip with your family then bring your wife and she can visit the Tanger Outlet Center which is located less than a mile away from our building…For the kids there is the Atlantis Aquarium which is also located in the same town as my business.
What’s the one thing Peter wants MVM readers to know? “Well,” Peter said with a look of pride, “We have the largest supply of NOS parts available.
