Historical note:

The Ford Model T was one of the most widely used vehicles during WWI. In all, Ford supplied 39,000 Model Ts in a variety of configurations. 20,700 of these were long-chassis Model Ts finished as ambulances that Ford delivered to foreign armies, the Red Cross, U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. The U.S. Army had ordered more than 10,000, and by war’s end, took delivery of 5,340.
