Minnesota-based Vehicles For Veterans hits $2 million donated to support military families through Hope For The Warriors
Minnesota-based Vehicles For Veterans hits $2 million donated to Hope For The Warriors who facilitates programs for post-9/11 veterans, service members and military families fueled by donation.
SPRINGFIELD, Va. (Feb. 13, 2024) – Vehicles For Veterans recently broke $2 million in donated funds to Hope For The Warriors with a recent donation of over $85,000. Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a foundation of stability, strength and community for post-9/11 veterans, service members and military families.
Based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota and through its Vehicles For Veterans program, Car Donation Foundation vehicle donation program provides funding to nonprofits with a mission to build better lives for injured veterans and their families in need of assistance and support.
Since 2018, Vehicles For Veterans has donated over $2,051,185 to Hope For The Warriors and its programs benefiting military families.
“Hope For The Warriors is a tremendous nonprofit and has an amazing mission. They are doing great things and we are thrilled to support them,” said Loren Dorshow, Vehicles For Veterans executive director.
The donations to Hope For The Warriors continue to be used to fund a variety of its programs focused on providing financial, career and educational stability; physical and emotional strength; and social support that builds community.
“Vehicles For Veterans continues to blow us away with their support and shared values of supporting military families,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO for Hope For The Warriors. “One of our most life changing programs is the Drive For Hope program, a comprehensive driving program designed to help service members and veterans regain the independence of driving again that was lost as a result of an injury. These crucial funds help us work in collaboration with the Driver Rehabilitation Center of Excellence to get veterans and their families back on the road again.”
In October of 2023 Hope For The Warriors honored Vehicle For Veterans with its Chairman's Award for Corporate Citizenship at the annual Hope For The Warriors Got Heart, Give Hope Gala.
Presented by U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal and U.S. Marine Col. Barney Barnum. Loren Dorshow accepted the Chairman's Award for Corporate Citizenship on behalf of Vehicles For Veterans, which is awarded to a longtime strategic partner of Hope For The Warriors.
