Daughtry and Lecrae will headline a free concert May 7th on Fort Benning’s Wetherby Field. This event is open to the public. American Idol veteran Brooke Eden will open the concert at 6pm.

Wetherby Field is an open air venue; we recommend lawn chairs or blankets. Though service animals are permitted, all other pets are prohibited, as are weapons of any kind and professional cameras and video equipment. Smoking is not permitted in event areas. You cannot bring food or coolers onto the field, but food and beverages will be available for purchase on site.

Guests may access Wetherby Field at the Sand Hill intersection off Highway 27. Guests traveling from Alabama will remain on Victory Drive, which becomes Highway 27 just beyond the 185 interchange. Guests traveling south take Exit 1A off 185, then take the Custer Road/Sand Hill exit and follow signs. When the Wetherby Field parking lot is full, the Sand Hill access point will be closed, and traffic will enter Fort Benning at the 185 gate and be directed to overflow parking areas.

Guests who do not have a military ID or DoD civilian ID will have no trouble accessing the concert at Highway 27 until that gate is closed, at which point they will be required to stop at the Visitors’ Center at the 185 gate for a pass. Gates open at 5pm, so civilian guests should arrive as early as possible to avoid a stop at the Visitors’ Center.

Visitors who anticipate a late arrival can get a visitor’s pass early, up to one week before the event.
