A Civil War soldier found buried in a suburb of Nashville by construction workers in May was exhumed earlier this week.
Construction work for a new development of condominiums and businesses had been halted until authorities could determine what to do. They now plan to rebury the remains in one of the local cemeteries.
According to The Tennessean, nails from the man's shoes indicate that he was buried with his boots on. Found with him were a button and greenish-amber glass bead, along with bones and teeth.
Originally uncovered were also pieces of a Union uniform.
