FORT BRAGG, N.C. – The U.S. Army Reserve Command has announced the selection of the 13th command sergeant major of the Army Reserve, Command Sgt. Maj. Ted L. Copeland.

“His mission mandate will be simple; use all the tools in the box to unleash the power of this Team as we build and sustain the most capable, combat-ready and lethal Federal reserve force in the history of the United States,” stated Lt. Gen. Charles D. Luckey, Chief of Army Reserve and Commanding General United States Army Reserve Command when making the announcement.

Copeland enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1984. He was born and raised in Wapakoneta, Ohio. During his previous 30-years of service, Copeland has served in a variety of professionally rewarding and developmental positions across the Army and Army Reserve in the operating and generating force. He is currently serving as the Command Sergeant Major for the 79th Sustainment Support Command, located at Los Alamitos, California.
