The artists at King & Country have designed a new line of figures and figure sets based on classic war movies. While World War II is the main focus, there are a number of other eras and characters in King & Country's catalog.
“Gang of Heroes”
“Gang of Heroes” (DD239) is a four-figure set representing a group of WWII soldiers on the hunt for a bank full of gold bullion. “Oddball’s Tank” deviates from the normal Sherman look with extra gear and unique alterations like a loud speaker, and other non-standard additions. TheTiger I has had its standard "feldgrau" paint somewhat obscured by field camouflage and is packaged with the Waffen SS commander that menaced the heroes of the film. The final piece to complete the scene is the “Bank of Heroes” (SP068). The façade measures 14.5” x D 0.8” x H 12”, in scale with the tanks and figures it is meant to accompany.
"An Eagle’s Nest"
High on an alpine mountain in a foreboding fortress behind enemy lines in Southern Germany,a pair of Allied officers are tasked with rescuing a captured American general. King & Country’s “Where Vultures Fly!” (WH057) pays homage to the movie "The Eagle's Nest."
Furious
The “War Daddy” Tank Commander (DD262) figure depicts a grizzled staff sergeant that fought from the landings in Africa and all through Europe to finally stand on German soil. The “FURY” M4A3E8 Easy-Eight (DD279) Sherman Tank and its crew fights alongside him. The tank has clearly seen hard use and is festooned with gear, captured German equipment used as trophies.
